April Showers Teaser Poster Concepts

Before the creation of the one-sheets (movie poster) we toyed with the idea of doing a "teaser" poster campaign that would proceed the final one-sheet. These posters were largely geared towards capturing the drama and intensity of the situations without giving to much of the story line away. While I like them very much and the test audiences did as well, I don’t think we’ll use them in the releasing campaign of the film. 

April Showers One-Sheet Poster Concepts

Prior to making April Showers I was a poster designer for one of the largest entertainment advertising firms in Los Angeles. I’ve created hundreds of posters over the years for movies, television and beyond. Most of the time a film’s poster campaign will go through dozens upon dozens of ideations before arriving at the final poster the general public sees. April Showers is no different though, I had a very clear idea early in production of what I wanted the final poster(s) to look like. Here are three you’ve seen so far and one that didn’t quite make the cut.
